Is TPR material toxic?
TPR material is a thermoplastic rubber material. It is a kind of thermoplastic soft rubber material with rubber elasticity 5261 and without vulcanization, which can be directly processed and molded (such as injection molding, extrusion 1653, blow molding, etc.).
TPR material is based on thermoplastic styrene-butadiene rubber as the basic raw material, adding resin (such as PP, PS), fillers, plasticizing oil agent and other functional additives blended modified materials.
The use temperature range is -45~90℃. Usually TPR material is based on SBS base material, its chemical properties are as follows: weather resistance, aging resistance in general, temperature resistance 70~75℃. If you need good aging resistance and temperature resistance, you can choose the modified material of SEBS base material.

TPR and PVC are both soft materials with rubber elasticity, which are difficult to identify through appearance and feel. And the difference by burning is more intuitive and easy.
1, look at the burning smell. tpr burning aromatic smell, the taste is not unpleasant. pvc burning chlorine odor, the taste is unpleasant.
2, look at the flame color. Burning flame root color green is PVC material, the color of blue is TPR material.
3, flame retardant level (refers to the material without flame retardants) PVC flame retardant level UL94-V2, with self-extinguishing, ignition combustion, ignition source evacuation, the flame will generally be extinguished; TPR flame retardant level UL94-HB, burning in the fire, away from the fire continues to burn does not go out.
TPR material is widely used in daily-use products, hardware tools, luggage wheels, sports equipment, toy products, auto parts, medical products, wire and cable, electronic appliances, communication instruments and shoe products, etc.. The shoes and toys industry is mainly the application area of TPR with SBS base material, and the modified material with SEBS base material is mainly used in the application of aging resistance, weather resistance, high material tensile strength, and ultra-low material hardness (less than 5 degrees Shore hardness).
